The Vanguard is a new condominium development currently in pre-construction at 7089 Yonge Street in Markham, Ontario by Devron Developments.  It is a mixed-use building designed by Kirkor Architects + Planners with 25 storeys and 200 residential suites as well as 12,000 square feet of retail space fronting onto Yonge Street.

The Vanguard Condos by Devron Developments is located just north of Steeles Avenue on Yonge Street near the Centerpoint Mall. The proposed 25 storey building designed by award-winning Kirkor Architects + Planners will feature 200 units ranging in size from 522 square feet to 1,379 square feet.  This new residential development project will have the LEED Gold Certification and will be built with "the highest quality materials" including marble, natural limestone and "locally sourced wood".  Included in this proposed development will be a rooftop vegetable garden, a water purification system,  an outdoor yoga studio, a library, a theatre room, an exercise room, a children's play room, four Tesla charging stations, EV chargers for other electric vehicles, a backyard park, a rainwater carwash and 7,000 square feet of outdoor terrace space.

 

A lot of growth is happening in the Yonge-Sheppard-Finch-Steeles area and more key projects are popping up on the Yonge line because of the close proximity to subways.

The Vanguard Condominiums is located on the east side of Yonge Street between Grandview Avenue and Woodward Avenue and will offer approximately 12,000 square feet of retail space that front Yonge Street with office suites located on the second floor and condominium suites situated above that.  The suites will be as large as 1,376 square feet and will have a "classic and different, enduring and immediate: a condo for tomorrow prepared with the building traditions of yesterday".   This development is located close to parks, schools, shops, restaurants and entertainment.  The Thornhill Golf & Country Club as well as the Toronto Ladies Golf Course and the Uplands Golf & Country Club are all located a few minutes drive to the north.  The Vanguard is also not too far away from the CF Promenade where you can find brands such as Aritzia, Coach, Guess, Lululemon Athletica and Swarovski.  In addition, York University is about eight kilometres away and this condo will be situated to the south of Highway 407 and to the west of Highway 404.
